WHY CHEMICAL-FREE SKINCARE MATTERS

Our exposure to chemicals has become a concern in today's world. For this reason, consumers are looking for chemical-free skincare products. Unfortunately, there is a gap between what's listed on these labels and a fine line of marketing strategies.

As an environmental hygienist specializing in applied microbial solutions. Our skin, the body's largest organ, is connected to our well-being. It provides a barrier against environmental and chemical stressors. According to the EPA, potential risks to chemicals are a constant threat. Especially chemicals from consumer products. This exposure comes in various forms. This isn't an exhaustive list, but to bring the point home, let's look at the following:

  • Inhalation of particulates, vapors, or aerosols.

  • Dermal contact from direct application to the skin (e.g., cosmetics)

  • Contact with residues on surfaces.

  • Incidental ingestion via hand-to-mouth or object-to-mouth contact.

Regardless of the method of ingestion. Maintaining the skin's natural barrier is crucial for optimal health.

Identifying the Problem:

The skincare industry has inundated us with products claiming to be natural. You want to be proactive by looking beneath the surface and reading the labels. The labels on the side of these containers tell another story. On these printed labels, you will see harmful ingredients such as parabens, phthalates, or synthetic fragrances and many of these ingredients lack scientific validation. This not only can harm your health but it can harm the health of the environment. The challenge lies in being able to understand which ingredients support skin health and what is potentially hazardous to your health.

The Need for Chemical-Free Marketing Claims:

With the abundance of skincare products, it's important to address the misleading marketing tactics being used by some brands. Though the claims of being "natural" or "organic" can be enticing to you. There are not enough stringent regulations, on what is considered organic, in place to put a halt to this practice. In many cases, these claims don't reflect the product's actual list of ingredients.

Like many industries, there is a lack of accountability in the cosmetics industry. As a consumer, you can demand transparency and integrity from these companies by urging them to substantiate their claims with credible evidence. Take it upon yourself to advocate for chemical-free marketing claims. Especially, in skin care.

Finding the Solution:

In response, I have been advocating for a natural approach to skincare for some time. After reviewing the labels on many of these skincare products. I felt you, the consumer, needed some alternatives. This led me to develop a chemically-free skincare product that was plant-based.

After a lot of experimentation, I was able to come up with an innovative solution that you can apply directly to your skin while supporting your skin's natural defenses. This unique formula gives your immune system fortification while supplying essential nutrients and minerals to your skin.

Here's why this technology is special. Everything applied to your skin is chemical-free. As I mentioned earlier, these ingredients are plant-based, adding essential nutrients, minerals, and vitamins to your depleted skin.

Providing the chemical-free Result:

By taking a holistic approach to skincare, I have been able to deliver to you some skincare choices that can empower you to make better decisions. So, by doing a little research, and reading the product labels, you can commit to natural ingredients for your skin. By using these essential oils, minerals, and vitamins provided by nature you can have radiant, healthier-looking skin. All the while providing your skin with a chemical-free shield against the challenges of our ever-changing environment.
