Summer Time Blues… or seasonal concerns!

Summer Time Blues… or seasonal concerns!

Summer is filled with sun, fun, surf and sand, but summer can also bring about asthma attacks, ear infections, sun burns, bug bites, blistery rashes on hands and feet as well as other skin-related infections. Many health woes occur more in the summer than any other times of the year. Here are some solutions to these common summer time issues.

Issue:  Swimmers Ear leads to 2.4 million doctors’ visits because water gets stuck in the ear canal.

Solution: Always dry your ears thoroughly after swimming; tilt your head so one ear faces down to allow water to escape the ear canal. Then gently pull your ear lobe in several directions to help the water drain out. Spray your ears before and after swimming with  BODY MIST  to prevent the growth of bacterial and fungi. Do not use Q-tips to clean, removing the wax from the ear canal also removes the natural lining and allows the inner ear to become exposed.

Issue:  Sunburns  are never fun! We all look better with sun-kissed skin and vitamin D is an essential ingredient for good skin health, but too much sun is never good for us.

Solution: Always use sun protection and treat your skin with  BODY SERUM  before and after being exposed to sun, wind, chlorine, sand and saltwater because this is a time that your skin needs essential oils, vitamins and minerals to properly balance itself and safely recover following a day of direct exposure.

Issue:  Skin infections  are more common in the summer because we get into pools, lakes and oceans. We wear less clothing, offering less skin shielding protection. We also come into contact with more people in various outdoor settings. All of this combined, increases our chance of Staph, which is a bacterium that lives on the skin and can be easily transferred and spread by touch. Staph simply needs an open portal on the skin in order to develop into an infection.

The Solution: Avoid exposures and risks of skin infections by keeping yourself clean and sanitized from head-to-toe.  If you are going swimming or entering a public place,  especially if you have insect bites, cuts or other skin abrasions, use  BODY LOTION  to protect yourself from 99.99% of germs, related exposures, and cross contamination.

Issue:  Asthma  spikes in the summer, this is triggered from higher temperatures, more smog and air pollution, higher pollen levels and an overall increased mold growth due to humidity.

Solution: Spray your clothes, car, home, gear and other personal items and spaces with  SURFACE SPRAY.

Issue:  Insect, flea and tick bites  are a part of summer that we’ve all come to expect, but these bites can be very scary and, in many cases, dangerous.

Solution: Avoid risks from bites by using a reliable  BUG REPELLENT  prior to exposure.

Afterwards, use the  SKIN SUPPLEMENT , which provides an immediate benefit that helps the skin properly overcome the harmful effects of an infectious bite.

Healthcare Protocols -- are they hurting more than helping?

When  derma glove was developed, we understood that hydration and skin recovery timelines were a major concern in the medical community.
